Use comments to leave any additional information on the project. Comments contain text-based information and the creator's name, time and date of the entry as well as hyperlinks, symbols or images. InLoox PM Web App allows any number of comments from different persons.

Create a note

Create a note in any project:

  1. Open an existing project or create a new one.
    For more information on how to create a project, please see Create a project.
  2. On the Manage page, in the Notes area, in the Add note... box, type the comment you want to leave. Enter here for example the project objective, the order type or internal remarks.You can format your text comment and add hyperlinks, symbols and images. Please find the complete instruction in the Customize a note area below.
  3. Click Add Note.

    As soon as you save your note with this command, you cannot edit it again.
    Now, you see the saved note in the list below.

Customize a note

You can change the appearance of your comments with InLoox PM features. Compose and customize your comment with different fonts, colours, sizes, etc., to arrange the comment information clearly and manage it more easily. All commands for formatting are in the Notes area.

Change the font

Add a numbered or bulleted list

  1. In the Format area, in the menu, click the Ordered or Bullets List command.
    Press ENTER to add the next list item.
  2. InLoox PM Web App inserts automatically the next bullet or number.
  3. To finish the list, press ENTER twice or press BACKSPACE to delete the last bullet or number in the list.

    Use Indent and Outdent to define the indent level.

Add further elements

Add links to web pages and e-mails to make your information more visual and to provide information more easily.

  1. In the Format area, in the menu, click Insert Link and choose one of the following in the Insert Link dialog box:
    • URL
      1. Enter the URL of a web site in the URL filed.
      2. In the Display Properties area, in the fields Text and ToolTip enter the text that will be displayed in your comment.
      3. Activate the Open in new window control box to open the saved web page in a new window.
    • E-mail address
      • Enter the recipient name in the E-mail to field and type a text in the Subject field.
      • In the Display Properties area, in the fields Text and ToolTip enter the text that will be displayed in your comment.
  2. Click OK.
